Gregory LantonAssociate Attorney
Greg Lanton focuses his legal practice on family law, estate planning, and probate, including estate administration and guardianships. He is particularly passionate about helping clients navigate life transitions with clarity and care, whether they are building a future together, planning for the unexpected, or honoring the legacy of a loved one. His approach is collaborative when possible and assertive when necessary. Greg believes in finding constructive, durable resolutions, but he is always ready to advocate firmly for his clients in court when the situation calls for it.
Greg earned his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UC Davis, with a minor in Human Physiology. He went on to receive his law degree from the University of Washington School of Law, where he deepened his interest in the ways legal systems intersect with bodily autonomy, economic survival, and community-based support networks. Greg has lived in Portland his entire life, except for the years he spent away in college and law school.
He is committed to providing accessible, judgment-free legal services to a wide range of clients, including those in nontraditional family structures or working in under-recognized professions. Whether supporting clients through divorce, guiding a group through shared homeownership planning, or helping chosen families preserve their intentions in estate documents, Greg brings care, curiosity, and grounded strategy to every case.
Outside of work, Greg enjoys urban hiking, amateur cartography, and practicing sustainable hide tanning using ethically reclaimed materials.
Legal systems should serve real people living real lives.
